Basic knowledge about our Chakras

Hey guys! On this post, I’m sharing with you some basic knowledge about our Chakras and why they’re important. I hope you like it!

DISCLAIMER: I’m not a professional in this area, I just did a lot of research about this and I’m sharing with you what I learned.

In our body, we have 7 energetic vortexes by which the energy of the Universe enters our body and spirit; these specific points have a vital importance in our mental and physical health, so, if one of those points have a “problem”, that disease goes to our bodily and spiritual abode.  The discovery of the Chakras is really old, probably 3000 years ago (maybe more); they were described in ancient Hindu and Buddhist Vedic Texts, so it’s in Asia where the investigation and study of these vortexes started, then it became popular in Europe, starting in Greece with the name of “Kýklos” or “Kýklous” (circles or cycles).  After that, the term was Latinized with the term “Círculos”.

In the Ancient Orient, there was a total of 6 Chakras referring to the vortexes located inside of our body. But there’s a seventh Chakra, that’s located outside our body; is in the Ancient Europe that this seventh Chakra became popular.

When we are sick or not feeling good, is because one of our Chakras has been desynchronized and it has less energy. In this post, I’ll explain a little bit about each one, what’s their function, also what color represents them. Here is an image of where they’re located and they’re color.

Our Chakras are located in a sort of axis across our body, I’m going to explain them starting from the bottom one.

  1. Hahaha I love it how you have tried to explain Sanskrit terms by breaking them down, although some of them are not correct, but it is fine. It is always so nice to see people from around the world taking notice of Indian culture and heritage and learning from our ancient texts. If you’d like to know anything about astrology or chakras or Yoga or anything Indian in general, you can contact me, I’d love to be of help my dear Tico. 🙂

      1. Hey, it is perfectly fine It just makes me happy because people in bigger more connected countries like US and the UK know so much about us, but it was a bit unexpected to see a Costa Rican take an interest, so for that, thank you so much StayInKraft (if that is your real name).

Anyway, whatever you’d like to know about our culture, shoot me a mail regarding it, similarly, you can tell me even more amazing things about your country too.
