Hi guys! On this post, I’m going to share with you some tips to have a healthy hair, also I’m sharing with you a mask to help it look shinier. Let’s get started!
Since I was little, I’ve been told that hair is delicate and that it should be treated gently. Over the years, I’ve learn some tips to keep it healthy, strong and shiny, so here they’re:
Washing your hair properly
As I said before, your hair is delicate, so when it comes to washing it, you have to be really careful, the amount of times that you must wash it and the specific product you use, totally depends on you and your hair type: if it’s oily then probably you’ll wash it more often and you’ll use products to stop the oiliness, just have in mind that the oils of our hair are good for it! Now let’s start with the tips!
First, try to wash it with cold water because hot or warm water do the same to hair than to your pores, it’ll open its herbs. If you do wash it with warm water just make sure to rinse it with cold water at the end. Then, when you’re applying Shampoo always make sure to massage your hair as you do, because that way you’ll stimulate the follicles and it will help to increase its growth. Also, you can add a vitamin E pill on it, to make it more effective, the same with your conditioner.
After that, make sure that when you’re applying Conditioner, you brush your hair with your hands at the same time. That way it’ll be easier for you to brush it after you get out of the shower, also leave it on for at least 2 minutes so it can really do its job. Finally, when you get out of the shower, always dry your hair with a t-shirt or something with a similar material, try to avoid towels. The reason for that is that towels are really hard on your hair, and it’ll damage it.
Protecting your hair
Not just because of the environment our hair could suffer damage, but also because of our bad habits. How you can protect your hair? Well you can always include a hair treatment on your washing routine, you’ll find a lot of them on the supermarket. Next, always use a heat protector every time you’ll dry it with a hair drier, every time you’ll straight it and every time you go out on the sun. The heat protector will create like a shield between your hair and the heat. Another great tip is to avoid using a hair drier or a straightener every single day, its harmful for your hair; just make sure that when you use it its not on the highest level of temperature. Who says that because it goes up to 475 degrees you must use it at that temperature? Always try to use it with the middle temperatures, so your hair won’t suffer lots of damage.
Another great way to protect it, is using a mask every now and then, to keep it shiny and strong, I’ll teach you one of my favorites at the end of the post. Another tip is to stop brushing your hair every five minutes, your hair doesn’t need it that much! Brushing your hair too much, could cause it to weakened, so don’t believe the tail that you must brush it 100 time a day, it’s a lie. Finally, when you’re going to sleep, always tie your hair on a loose bon, why is that? Well when you’re sleeping you move a lot, and while you’re doing that, if you have your hair down, you’ll rob it with your pillow causing it to break and damage at the ends.
You guys, this mask I’m going to share with you is so great: it helps it stay strong, also gives it lots of shine and healthiness! The ingredients you’ll need will be:
- An avocado
- One Egg
- One table spoon of Honey
- One table spoon of Olive Oil
Mix all the ingredients on a bowl until they’re completely combined, then apply it to your hair and leave it on for about 30 minutes. Rinse it and wash it as you usually do. You can apply it to times a month, and you’ll notice the difference really soon!
